On 4th of October 2023, Wednesday, during the ‘Made by Google’ event, the world witnesses the release of Android 14 along with the inauguration of Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro smartphones.

This release of the Android mobile operating system brings new features to light on Android smartphones. These features include AI-generated wallpapers, passkeys for third-party apps, monthly reminders for data sharing, and camera and flash notifications.

Based the report shared, Android 14 was first released as a developer beta back in February, shortly after Google’s annual Google I/O event, with a beta version dropping a couple of months later. The Pixel 8 Pro has better cameras and a brighter screen to go with a starting price of $999. Meanwhile, the standard Pixel 8 has a slightly smaller 6.2-inch display compared to its predecessor. Both phones share Google’s new Tensor G3 chipset, as well as Android 14 out of the box and a promise of seven years of OS upgrades
