Taylor Swift, as always, has blown everyone away by winning the album of the year award for ‘Midnights’, which made her the only artist that has swept four album of the year awards. These include, Midnights, Fearless, 1989 and Folklore which have won millions of hearts all around the globe.
Being received the award from none other than Celine Dion, who made an unexpected appearance at the Grammys was also a sight to see, which to Taylor’s opportunity, she introduced her very new surprise album, ‘The tortured Poets Department’, which left the audience screaming and cheering.
“I would love to tell you that this is the best moment in my life. But I feel this happy when I’ve finished a song or when I’ve cracked the code to a bridge that I love or when I’m shortlisted for a music video, or when I’m rehearsing with my dancers or my band or getting ready to go to Tokyo to play a show. For me the award is the work.”, is what Swift said in her acceptance speech which conveyed her profound love for the music industry.
As this was Taylor’s 13th win, knowing that 13 is her lucky number, made the night even more special for her. She also revealed that the songs in Midnight were inspired by self-loathing, revenge, wondering what might have been, falling in love and falling apart.
The 34 year old popstar was also nominated for the record of the year, song of the year, best pop solo performance, best pop duo/group performance as well as the best pop vocal album, which is quite the achievement.
