There is a comprehensive study which shows the review of 45 meta analyses in around 10 million people. In the BMJ, the writers have claimed that, “Overall, direct associations were found between exposure to ultra-processed foods and 32 health parameters spanning mortality, cancer, and mental, respiratory, cardiovascular, gastrointestinal, and metabolic health outcomes.”
Many experts from known institutions, namely Johns Hopkins from the Bloomberg School of Public health in America, as well as other researchers from universities like the University of Sydney, Sorbonne University in France and Deakin University in Australia have also confirmed that such kinds of foods contain harmful elements which one should avoid to maintain their health.
