Hanoi has been named Asia’s second-best city for street food, outranking culinary powerhouses such as Bangkok and Singapore, according to a new list by Time Out. The Vietnamese capital impressed judges with its vibrant mix of flavours, affordability, and accessibility.

Penang, Malaysia, secured the top spot, while Singapore took third place. Surprisingly, Bangkok, long regarded as a global street-food hub, slipped to eighth. Phnom Penh rounded out the top ten in ninth place.

The ranking assessed cities based on the quality and character of their food stalls, the ease with which travellers and locals can discover them, and the cultural richness that surrounds the dining experience.
