Calgary is set to enter a new era of luxury hospitality as Marriott International, in collaboration with Truman and Louson, announces the launch of three iconic luxury hotels in Calgary’s Culture + Entertainment District. The upcoming properties W Calgary, JW Marriott Calgary, and an Autograph Collection Hotel will open between 2028 and 2030, marking a major milestone in the city’s hospitality and tourism industry.

Located at the intersection of 15 Avenue and Macleod Trail S.E., these luxury hotels in Calgary will bring bold design, high-end amenities, and branded residences to one of the city’s fastest-growing areas. The $1.47 billion project will not only enhance the skyline but also generate over 9,100 construction jobs and create more than 2,000 permanent positions once operational.

W Calgary, a 69-story tower, will feature 157 guest rooms, 27 suites, and 239 branded residences. Guests will enjoy a 7,500-square-foot AWAY Spa, a signature Living Room, rooftop bar, 16,259 square feet of meeting space, and a state-of-the-art FIT Studio. A dedicated private entrance will offer residents access to exclusive amenities.

Meanwhile, JW Marriott Calgary will focus on well-being and comfort. The 62-story hotel will include 248 guest rooms and 120 branded residences, along with 32,500 square feet of event space. Additional features include indoor and outdoor pools, a tranquil JW Garden, JW Market, and curated retail outlets designed for luxury living.

The third property, an Autograph Collection Hotel, will rise in Stampede Park, bringing unique character and lifestyle experiences to the district. Scheduled to open in 2029, the 320-room hotel will feature more than 15,000 square feet of event space, restaurants, a coffee shop, lobby bar, a rooftop lounge, and a south-facing leisure terrace with a jacuzzi, swimming pool, and modern fitness club.

The three luxury hotels in Calgary are expected to elevate the city’s international appeal and redefine hospitality standards. This ambitious development reinforces Calgary’s status as a premier destination for business and leisure travel. With construction underway, the Culture + Entertainment District is poised to become a global showcase of modern luxury and Canadian innovation.
