Brandt Snedeker and Geoff Ogilvy have been announced as team captains for the 2026 Presidents Cup. The event will take place at Medinah Country Club, Illinois, from September 24-27, 2026. Snedeker will captain the U.S. Team, while Ogilvy leads the International Team.

Presidents Cup 2026 captains have a rich history with international golf. Snedeker, a nine-time PGA Tour winner, was the 2007 PGA Tour Rookie of the Year. Moreover, he represented the U.S. in the 2013 Presidents Cup. He also played in the 2012 and 2016 Ryder Cups. Most recently, he served as a captain’s assistant during the 2022 Presidents Cup.

Snedeker said he is eager to lead the American team. “Representing my country has been a highlight of my career,” he stated. “I’ll lean on my past experiences to prepare the team.”

Geoff Ogilvy, on the other hand, brings strong international experience. He won the 2006 U.S. Open and has eight PGA Tour titles. Ogilvy also played in three consecutive Presidents Cups between 2007 and 2011. His record stands at 7-6-1 across those appearances.

Over the past four editions, Ogilvy has served as a captain’s assistant. He emphasized his desire to carry forward the momentum built by his predecessors. “The International Team has grown stronger,” said Ogilvy. “We’ll build even more unity heading into 2026.”

The Presidents Cup 2026 venue, Medinah’s Course #3, has a legendary past. It was the site of the iconic “Miracle at Medinah” during the 2012 Ryder Cup. Europe famously came back from four points behind to claim victory.

So far, the U.S. Team dominates the Presidents Cup history. They have 13 wins, one loss, and one draw. In the latest edition held in Montreal, the Americans secured their 10th straight victory.

Both captains aim to elevate the competition. Snedeker brings enthusiasm and team spirit. Ogilvy adds strategic experience and global support. This combination promises an intense battle in 2026.

With dedicated captains in place, the excitement builds. Fans and players alike await a showdown filled with history, rivalry, and elite golf.

Stay tuned as the journey to the Presidents Cup 2026 gains momentum.
